Drawing from his roots as a jazz drummer, Mark is able to utilize the art of improvisation in the therapeutic process. Like jazz, improvisation in therapy involves a willingness to listen deeply to others while co-creating new patterns of thoughts and actions.

He is extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, having attended workshops with the founder of CBT, Dr. Aaron Beck. Mark specializes in working with both individuals and couples, drawing from his experiences and training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and the Ackerman Institute for the Family. This approach, recognized as a gold standard in couples therapy, helps couples navigate their journey towards effective communication, increased intimacy, and deeper connections.
