“Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's psychological or spiritual growth"

My Approach

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

- Wayne Dyer

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Expertise

CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the relationship between thoughts, beliefs, and emotional states. Learning to reframe unhealthy and distorted thoughts leads to enhanced well-being and the life you deserve.

Mark Cheramie has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including workshops with Dr. Aaron Beck, the founder of CBT.

With Mark's expertise in CBT, he can guide you in addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples

Emotionally Focused Therapy seeks to repair injured attachment by first helping couples recognize what they are doing that threatens the secure attachment. How couples handle conflict is one of the major problem areas addressed in EFT by mapping the “cycle” of behaviors and emotional responses that trap the couple in unhealthy conflict. Once they’ve mapped their conflict cycle, couples are able to unite and fight against it as a team. This mapping process helps the couple become more collaborative, increase positive interactions, and shift away from damaging high-conflict interactions.

EFT is the most empirically validated treatment for couples therapy.

Mindfulness and Holistic Healing

Mindfulness is defined as the ability to be present without judging yourself and your experience. The ability to demonstrate compassion towards oneself is the cornerstone of a self-actualized life.

Mark's personal and professional journey into mindfulness, inspired by training with Jack Kornfield and Spirit Rock Meditation Center, brings a holistic perspective to therapy.

Mark integrates mindfulness and Buddhist psychology into his evidence-based approach, helping clients find inner peace and balance in their lives.
